Every Velvetips set comes in four sizes: XS, S, M and L. Each size is a full set of ten nails cut for the five fingers, so you choose one size for the whole hand.
How to measure
- Take a strip of paper or a soft tape measure.
- Lay it across the widest part of your natural nail, from one side wall to the other.
- Note the width in millimetres for your thumb, index, middle, ring and little finger.
- Compare with the chart. Most people match one size across all five nails. If one finger falls between sizes, choose the smaller size and file the side of that single nail.

Widths are a guide. Handmade sets can vary by up to half a millimetre.

S and M fit most hands. If your old press-on sets in size S or M fit well, choose the same here. If a set arrives and a nail is a little wide, file the sides with the included file until it sits inside your side walls without touching skin. A nail that is slightly narrow is fine to wear, one that is too wide will lift.
Length
Short sets end just past the fingertip. Medium sets extend about half the length of the nail bed beyond the tip. Long sets extend a full nail bed or more. Every set can be shortened from the free edge with a fine file.
