Nails that look like a salon visit, without the chair
Velvetips began with a simple frustration. We loved the look of hand-sculpted gel nails and hated losing an afternoon and a good chunk of money every three weeks to get them. Machine-printed plastic press-ons never came close. So we went looking for the artists who make the real thing by hand.
Every set in this shop is painted, sculpted and cured by a nail artist, one at a time. Soft gel tips, layered gel colour, real 3D charms and a glossy top coat. They feel like the nails you get at a good salon because they are made the same way.
What we care about
- Art you can see up close. Roses with petals, bows with folds, chrome that shifts in the light. We choose designs that still surprise us when the box is opened.
- A shape and length for every hand. Short almond for work, long coffin for the weekend, and everything between.
- Wear them again. Apply with tabs or glue, remove gently, keep the case. A set should outlast one occasion.
